Logan's first Christmas! We were totally blessed this year. Besides already having the best gifts anyone could ask for, Hunter & Logan, we were totally spoiled by each other and family. I received a new portrait lens and flash for my camera (see photo above) and Jared received a 2007 Bowtech Guardian bow. We both couldn't stop smiling after opening our much anticipated gifts!! Hunter scored more loot than Santa's sleigh could hold- a new working excavator with scoop and crane like bucket, books, clothes, games, videos, transformers, nerf gun, etc. etc. He now has more toys than will fit in his room! Time to weed out some old ones to put into storage & set aside for Logan. Earlier we had told Hunter about the children less fortunate and he purchased and donated some of his toys, I really hope he understands how blessed he is and appreciates what he has. Maybe now we can go through his room again and give away some more of his abundant toy supply! I pray he grows up with a generous heart and wants to share some of his good fortune with others.

One of Hunter's highlights this Christmas was seeing Santa actually deliver presents. We told him that most people go their whole lives without seeing such a sight! Christmas Eve we made cookies for Santa and he decorated them himself. One cookie alone had 2 inches of frosting and sprinkles piled high! =) We set them out on a tray with a mug of milk by the fireplace and went to bed hoping he would deliver the goods. The whole family snuggled up in our bed and awhile later we heard the jingling of sleigh bells and grabbed the video camera. You can see the wonder in Hunter's eyes... that and maybe bewilderment at why Daddy wasn't more defensive to protect our home from this intruder.

The video is a little dark and I wish I would have focused more on his face ... Its probably a bit odd that Hunter thinks Santa brings gifts for baby Jesus' birthday. We'll wait another year or two to straighten him out on the details. ;o)
Here are two photos one of Logan and the other of Hunter at the same age. There are definite similarities but Logan has way more hair and thicker eyebrows. I think their eye color will be identical as well as their noses and lips. I LOVE MY BOYS!!
Glad to hear you had a wonderful Christmas! The family picture is adorable!!!
