Logan peering up at me over my burgeoning belly.
Well it's official, I'm nearing the finish line of what has seemed like the endless pregnancy! I saw the doctor today and things are starting to progress, the baby's head dropped (just like I thought, with the ball dropping New Year's Eve so did this baby!) There was a little discrepancy on when I would actually be able to be induced. Originally, I was shooting for the moon and wanted a 01-11-10 birthday, but that seems unattainable at this point. (New regulations restrict inductions before 39weeks.) Unless, I have the good fortune of my water breaking that day naturally, these doctors don't want to force the issue. The next goal in mind was 01-15-10 which seemed very reasonable with my first doctor. Unfortunately, she skipped town last month, actually she skipped the country- indefinitely. So, it was left in the hands of the other Dr.'s at the clinic. And, as of noon today the earliest induction date was 01-18-10, which just happens to be the exact date of my Grandma's surgery. NOT GOOD! After a little begging & pleading, my current doctor called this evening to inform me that he found another colleague who is willing to induce me on Friday, the 15th! (Just a day or two before 39 weeks.) Woo Hoo! That's awesome, now Grandma can be present for the birth & get to hold the little one before her surgery on Monday.
I'm really happy I didn't peek because that is something I'm really looking forward to. I can't wait for this baby to be born and get to look at Jared as he announces, "Honey, it's a ..."
Who's the new Dr? Too bad that Kaminsky won't be the one to deliver. I know that you guys really liked him and got along with him too. But that's good that your grandma will be present. :) Can't wait to meet the newest little one!
