Two months

Little Grady Monroe is 2 months old!

He is getting so big, last week he weighed 12#3oz and was 23 inches long! Tomorrow is his official check up... and shots :o( Poor thing, these appointments always make me sick. I hate having to prick their delicate little arms and legs. But, the pros seem to out way the cons when it comes to immunizations in our eyes. So, I just say a little prayer and trust the system that's been in place for decades. All the while cringing with eyes shut tight the moment of impact.

Grady had one night where he slept 7 hours, what a blessing that was! I'm still waiting for a repeat, he is getting up 2 times a night but I'm hoping those will thin out to just 1 time in the near future. He's very easy going, loves to be cuddled up tight to your neck and is responding to people's faces and voices with big smiles. He is trying so hard to be able to lift himself up off the floor or roll off to one side. He is sometimes startled by the sounds of his brothers' playing and pouts out his lower lip and cries. It's so sad to witness this, but I know soon enough he'll love to watch & be completely entertained by his big brothers' antics.

Logan loves to snuggle up next to Grady. If he hears him crying he's first on the scene. Logan will even share his toy or at least dangle it in front of Grady's face for him to see. If Grady is in the swing, Logan loves to start up the music and push him to get him rocking.

Hunter is still quite the helper, he fetches diapers & will try his best to soothe Grady if he's crying until I can get to him. He's also the toddler police and has ran interference many times keeping Logan out of trouble when I can't be over the top of him. Hunter is is really good at trying to keep his little brother's safe... well unless it's a game, then all bets are off and he's the first to tackle or shove him to get to the prize.

It's been a crazy couple of months trying to juggle 3 kids with 2 hands but both Jared and I are settling in to our new reality. Somedays we just look at each other across the room over the chaos & wonder, "what have we done?"! There are times we resort to using our phones or computers to communicate because we can't even hear one another over the noise our house creates. But then, when everyone is quiet and snuggled up on the couch we realize what we've done is create a big, beautiful, chaotic family.
