Apple Box Golf Tournament

Last weekend was the company's annual golf tournament. Jared looks forward to this weekend every year, because it usually means a guranteed weekend off from the hectic start to summer work. This year however, he ended up working right up until tee time so it was a little less relaxing but he was happy to be out on the greens rather than working all the same.
The tournmanent includes men that come from Seattle-Tacoma Box Co. (who provide us with the apple boxes to ship our apples) and with them they bring fresh crab & oysters from the west side of the state. Another highlight to the weekend!
Jared's oldest brother & his wife & kids usually drive over for the weekend to join in the festivities. So while Jared's out golfing I can hang out with my sister-in-laws and the kiddo's. I failed to bring my camera to any of the weekend's events so I'll do a quick recap with images taken from the internet to fill in the blanks.
Friday afternoon the guys teed off at Wildhorse around noon. I stayed home with the kids and then at around 5:30pm Jared came home and we headed to Leonard & Leslie's house for the dinner, crab legs, oysters, salads & brownies.

Oh and of course drinks!
Saturday morning Jared got up and golfed another round, this time at Wine Valley Golf Course.

It was a beautiful, hot, sunny day so the kids got to play outside. That afternoon we felt the kids needed a change of scenery so Gretchen & Stephanie took Hunter, Jake, Kadey, Ava & Addy to see Shrek Forever After the Final Chapter. Becca & I stayed back with Logan & Grady and filled up the kiddie pool for Logan to play in and we sat on the patio enjoying some sun.

Dinner that night was catered prime rib, chicken, potatoes, fruit salad, the works. Oh and a creatively, delicious raisin stuffed baked apple soaked in some yummy sauce and served with a side of ice cream sprinkled with cocoa powder and a chocolate wafer. After dinner the boys suggested that us girls go out to movie since we had been with the kids all day. After much debate we settled on seeing Date Night, it was funny, short & sweet. (We contemplated seeing Sex & the City 2 but it was an hour longer and started 20 min later.)

Sunday we spent time with family and it was Jared & I's 7th anniversary. I can't remember if we did anything special for it, I don't think we did, but that's what 3 kids will do. Maybe Jared and I should have gone to see a movie together... oh well.
