Hunter's classroom performed their own Christmas Program where he read the part of the Grinch, in the How the Grinch Stole Christmas.
They also sang some Christmas songs, their favorite was using flashlights like star brights or this little light of mine.
Hunter also made a gingerbread house, though there were no graham crackers involved and he said his was a "junk yard".
This weekend we were able to go to Vancouver for the Ellertson's annual Lefse feed. (A Norwegian potato crepe that you put butter, cinnamon and sugar in and roll up to eat while they are warm.) We haven't been in years, so it was great to be able to take the entire family and visit. We stayed with Jared's cousin Brad (his wife Tina Frimpong-Ellertson is, as you may already know, a world class soccer champion and unfortunately was away during our time there.) We missed you, Tina!!
They have a beautiful house that Brad manages to keep organized and tidy all while his wife had been gone for nearly 10 days! Impressive skills, I must say. ;o) Their daughters McKenzie 9 and Mya 2 were gracious enough to give up their bedrooms during our weekend stay. MacK had basketball games most of the day on Saturday and again on Sunday so I didn't get to spend as much one on one time with her, but Mya was around and we very quickly bonded over princess dresses and tea. Both girls are adorable, smart, courteous and loving. I had so much fun getting reacquainted with both of them. Brad's brother, John & his wife Kim and their son Chace 1 also stayed at their house. Oh, and their sister, Andrea! We had a house full of family and it was great!

Chace lovin' on Grady before he leaves. ♥ |
I was really looking forward to seeing Chace again and having him & Grady play. They have so many similarities in their features and they played very well together.
What a great weekend spent with family, there were so many other people that I didn't get a chance to take a picture of. We were so thankful that Grammy & Papa were able to take Logan and Grady up with them on Friday, that allowed us to have a nice trip up with just Hunter in the car. Jared hooked up the wii so he could play video games, which was awesome! Then, on the way home they took Logan with them again so that also freed up some space to bring home some christmas presents! Thank you!

And, a big gracious hug of thanks to our wonderful host and the family that made this trip so special! We love you! Have a merry Christmas!
