Things have been a little crazy. The last few days we've had roofers fixing our roof, its incredibly noisy.. between Logan crying or squealing, Hunter singing or making general little boy noises, the roofers and any other background noise like the tv it's been enough to make me want to put a pillow over my face & scream. Today we escaped to my parents house for some peace & quiet and a nap for mommy. Lastnight Jared & I got little to no sleep. Hunter woke up crying in his sleep and no matter what I did I could not get him to fully wake & stop crying. I think he had a bad dream or something. So I took him to the bathroom and back to bed. Then he started coughing, I got him a sucker dipped in honey thinking that would help coat his throat, only he was still too groggy to understand what I was giving him and he started to throw up. I quickly picked him up off the top of his bed (its like a mini bunk bed) and tried to run with him to the bathroom but I tripped over some toys and hit the floor with him. I did manage to get him to the bathroom before he puked. phew! But the arch of my foot where I stepped on the train was killing me as well as the skin I lost off my knee when I hit the floor with an extra 45lbs in my arms. We put Hunter back in our bed just in time for Logan to wake up, hungry... So I fed him out on the couch because the extra space in our bed was dwindling by this point. I think I got another 4 hours of sleep before Jared's alarm went off and Logan woke up hungry once again. That boy likes to eat!
Lately Logan's ear has had an excess of ear wax. Gross but nothing to really worry about... until it started smelling like aged cheese and not the good kind. We took him to the Dr. tonight and he said that he probably spit up at some point and then it drained back down his face into his right ear and started to ferment... gross! He gave him a good ear wash and sent us on our way. Logan officially weighs 15lbs 14oz and is 25.5 inches long from head to heel.
Something I noticed today, despite our cold and dreary winter, my determined daffodils have sprouted! In a month they should be in full bloom along with my tulips! I love Spring!!
Jamie you crack me up! Sorry to hear such a rough night...ack I can just pitcure this all going down. Hope you heal quickly.
ReplyDeleteOh my goodness that sounds insane. It is funny cause in the middle of all the madness you still took time to notice the flowers. It cracks me up
ReplyDeleteI probably wouldn't have noticed them if it wasn't for the roofers, they had their truck parked in the driveway so I literally had to jump over the flower bed to get out to my car... mid leap is when I noticed. =) If it wasn't for those obnoxious, noisy, intrusive roofers I may have not noticed for weeks to come.
