Today is my 30th birthday, though I'm calling it 29 because I think a true celebration might be more fun if I'm not pregnant. Lastnight I had a great dinner with the girls from work and tomorrow we are all heading to the Oregon coast for a family vacation. It will be great to get out of town. I was hoping this warm front we had would linger on, but alas 60 degrees with a chance of rain is what we are expecting- typical. But, we'll make the most of it. It was kind of fun digging out old jeans and long sleeves for a change... and socks! When was the last time I wore a pair of those? I'm anxious for Hunter to see the ocean again and for Logan to experience it for the first time. Unfortunately, Hunter woke up this morning with a fever :( so we are praying that he feels better before we hit the beach. And, that the rest of the family doesn't come down with it while we are there! I guess if we are going to get sick what better place to relax than at a beach house?
Here's a video of Logan's latest trick. Clapping! I posted this for you Kelli because of Hunter's comment. :) He's so close to crawling I wonder if he won't attempt it this weekend. We are still waiting for those teeth to appear, too. He's sleeping through the night, now if we can just get him to do it in his own crib we'll be on to something!
Hunter is going to start Kindergarten in a few weeks. WOW... He got his new backpack today and is getting excited. I'm having a hard time believing he's old enough... or maybe that I'm old enough. Not sure which is more frightening. I know he's ready, he's starting to read & can spell out most words, which is great! Still needs a little work on shoe lace tying but I guess that's what velcro's for. We are considering gymnastics for the rest of this summer or fall, I know he'd love that!
