It's a very merry Christmas indeed! We started the celebrations early this week with Grammy & Papa on the Brown's side. We opened presents with GGrandma Lorraine, GGrandpa Earl, Uncle Andrew, Aunt Stephanie, Kadence & Addyson, too. This picture of the nativity scene is the set that GGrandma Donna handpainted herself and Gretchen inherited it... what a treasure!

On Christmas Eve we went to my parent's house to celebrate with Grandma, Grandpa, Uncle Joe & Aunt Emily. Grandma handmade a couple of sock monkey's for the boys, they are so cute! She even personalized each one with a heart and the first letter of their name. (She promised one more after the new year for the next baby, too!)

We never did get a picture of both of them looking & smiling at the same time.
If you're wondering what's with the tin foil, my mom has this tradition of reading the story of the birth of Jesus and has us act it out. She makes shepherd staffs and halos out of tin foil for us to use. As you can imagine, I've been Mary for 2 years running, I'd love to pass the torch.

After we opened all our presents we headed over to GGrandma Maxine & GGrandpa Paul's house for Christmas Eve dinner and more presents to open!

Christmas Day we got to stay home in our jammies and open our gifts as a family.
The first thing Logan pointed to when he got up this morning was his sock monkey sitting under the christmas tree. He held on to it like this for quite awhile, so cute!

ReplyDeleteAbout 2 weeks ago when he started walking upright... Crazy how fast it goes. I guess now I'm glad we have another wee lil' one coming! They don't stay little forever...

ReplyDeleteExact due date isn't until the 24th of January but I'm planning on being induced on the 15th. These big babies can't afford to wait too long in this oven! (Logan was 10 days early, induced, and weighed a whopping 9lbs 12oz!!!)
