Static Electricity

Last night, it was late and I was tired. I had put my neck out last Saturday and had to have it readjusted by the chiropractor 2 times. As I was dragging myself into bed I realized I hadn't rotated the laundry I started the day before, and I hate it when wet clothes are left and get that musty smell. I went in, lifted the lid and reached in to pull out the load of our sheets, as I did I felt this funny static electricity feeling along my arm. I say static because something was pulling at my arm hair ever so slightly. It was so funny I actually stopped and moved my arm up and down briefly trying to figure out what this "invisible" feeling was. That's when I noticed the tiny little silk strings all over the opening to the drum of the washer. Weird, I thought, did something come unraveled? This is when my brain started to think something is wrong here... what are those tiny little moving specks and why is my arm all tingly?!?!?
AAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!
Yep, you guessed it, a spider had the nerve to crawl into my washing machine and lay her eggs, I would say recently but I'm sure that egg sack had been there, unknowingly, for some time. EWWWW!!! Well, after my last load was left undisturbed those little suckers hatched & decided it was time to explore and all 100 of them spun their little webs joyously back and forth across the opening.  I freaked, screamed for Jared and he poked his head in and looked around the top and said, "Yep, they're everywhere." To which I replied,"DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT!!" He said something about bug bombing the house this weekend and I looked at him in disbelief, "And let those evil little things crawl around in the meantime, I don't think so!" I handed him a can of raid, opened the windows and ran out. He proceeded to spray the laundry room & washer & dryer with a thick coating of toxic fumes. That oughta teach them! After much tossing & turning and delirious dream sequences in which I was entangled in webs tickling my arms I finally fell asleep. I woke up, went straight to the washer opened it and inspected it for carcasses. I didn't see anything moving, wiped everything down, ran a load through the washer & hoped for the best. I hope to never experience anything like that again!
