Woo hoo! I'm so excited!!!
By now, you know I {LOVE} to throw parties! Especially one's with über cute themes for my kids! (And, unsuspecting loved ones.)
Back in January, while shopping around for Grady's 1st monkey party, I stumbled upon some cute carnival themed decorations. My mind instantly started racing. Visions for Hunter's next birthday, when the weather is warmer, came to mind. I fell in love with the tickets, popcorn, fun games, cotton candy, etc.. I imagined asking the neighbors down the road if we could borrow their mini donkeys, or friends if we can use their horses for pony rides, and then there's that camel in Waitsburg, maybe he could make an appearance?! Oh~ and bouncy castles! Okay you can see why Jared gets really nervous before birthdays. I tend to go over board.
I had looked around my favorite party idea blog for some more inspiration and stumbled upon this circus themed post. WOW... I was awestruck. It was so... OVER THE TOP! My heart sang and sank in one fail swoop. Now, that's how you do it! I loved all the details and could imagine the wonder & joy that filled the kids' hearts when they walked through the colorful balloon archway into that backyard wonderland of fun! But, how could I ever do a party so grand?! Then I realized why it was so perfect, it was Kara herself that threw the party and her boys were the recipients of such grandeur! I was impressed. But, after talking to Jared and showing him the party she threw, he quickly squelched my dreams of having an over the top, big top themed birthday for Hunter. I think his exact words were, this has got to stop.
*sigh*
Then fast forward to today! I click on Kara's blog to see what's new in the party world (and to get some inspiration for a baby shower I'm co-hosting in April) and what- do- my- eyes- see!??

Now I'm excited again! Jared can't say no if I get all the decorations for free! :oD
