Throw caution to the wind

Today, for the sake of getting more things done in a short amount of time I threw caution to the wind and stepped out of my orderly and organized role and into a more relaxed one... and strangely it felt liberating and good, rather than uncomfortable and tense like I thought it would.
So tonight I didn't sort my darks from lights while doing laundry, I didn't empty the lint trap before starting the next load, I didn't wash the silverware or plates before loading the dishwasher, I threw out junk mail before reading it, I folded socks together that didn't match and I may not even wash off my make up off before heading to bed.
And, you know what? I think I did manage to finish tasks a little bit quicker and found some time to sit on the couch with my husband.
It felt really good to give my uptight self the night off and allow my carefree side to take charge.

  2. Wait wait wait, you didn't rinse the dishes off before putting them in the dishwasher? Can you please call my husband and let him know if they still turn out ok. He insists on soap and water washing before they go in the dishwasher.

  3. I'm pleased to announce that neither the dishes or clothes suffered from my lack of pre washing or sorting. :o)
Proof that you can skip a step now and again with no serious consequences.
(Kim, Jared is the same way he meticulously washes every utensil before loading them in the dishwasher. I love our men!!)

  4. AHH welcome to the dark side. I am proud of you. Just think if you dont take off your make up at night that means you dont have to reapply it in the morning all you have to do is a little touch up. ;D
