Hunter's 5th Birthday!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, HUNTER!

Hunter turned 5 years old on May 20th. We celebrated all weekend and then again on wednesday. First we had my friends from the Beehive come over with their kids for a "fiesta" themed party. When we asked Hunter what he wanted for his birthday he said "a play date". Of course he got way more than just a play date for his bday, but he loved the time spent with his friends. We bought a pinata for the kids to hit. Here's the picture Hunter took of his dinosaur before it was brutally attacked.

We used the honor system of closing your eyes when hitting the pinata. As you can imagine, few followed it. :) Can you blame them?

Here's the finale, the birthday boy got to deliver the final blows. I loved Jesse's comment in response to Jared's instructions for the kids to "rip it apart like wild animals"... "that doesn't end without tears!" Luckily all the kids were very polite & gracious and everyone got their portion of the goodies without any meltdowns or tantrums. Whew!

At the end of the evening Scarlett took it upon herself to sing baby Logan a lullaby to put him to sleep. When she finished her performance she was disappointed to see that his eyes were still open. :) SO CUTE!
